Wednesday 12th January

Happy New Year to everyone and I hope 2017 is a great golfing year for your child.  Exciting times here at Little Golfers with some new technology to enhance our group and individual lessons, Bruce the Shark popping up during our lessons and more plans to make your child's experience with us even better.

Numbers are on the up and Little Golfers teaches around 200 children per week, making us one of the biggest junior academies around.

We have half term and Easter holiday camps in the diary, a competition fixture list ready and now just praying for some warmer weather.

Tuesday 6th December

So the count down to Christmas is on and the weather has turned.  If you need any ideas for presents for your little golfers then check out our lesson offer.  Bruce the shark has been amazing children all over and everyone loves him.  He has been up a lot at Sandown, in some schools during their clubs and at its first school fair, which was great to raise some funds for the school.  Lessons are slowly finishing for the term but after some Turkey and too much chocolate, 2017 is looking good for Little Golfers.  I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Wednesday 9th November

The Shark is here and working and its just so amazing, I love it.  Get your children down to Sandown park and let them have a go at this unique, UK first, golf shark.  Email us

Tuesday 4th October

The Shark is coming.......... Great news here at Little Golfers as the first shark will be hitting our shores soon.  The 7ft high 10ft long inflatable shark will be a great target for our juniors to try and chip into its mouth, which will make our group lessons, birthday parties and holiday camp that little bit more awesome and add some bite.  It will also be available for hire for that school fete, charity do or event.

Thursday 15th September

Emails are currently down, to get in touch please email thanks.

Monday 5th September

We had the junior championship last weekend and congratulations to Arthur and Barnaby for winning their age groups.  Barnaby has won 2 out of 2 competitions played and Arthur shot an impressive 33 to win by 10 shots!

Wednesday 31st August

Well it really has been a busy summer of golf for Little Golfers.  We have had 10 camps at the golf course all completely full, plus worked with Elmbridge BC, Guildford BC and a holiday camp company called SCL.  All in all well over 1000 different children playing golf with us at some point this summer.

Wednesday 30th March - Easter Cup

Yesterday saw our 3rd competition and first Little Golfers major of the year.  9 junior golfers battled the wet and windy conditions and play very well, considering the ball was going nowhere across the wet ground and blown all over the place by the wind.  Arthur made it 2 wins from 2 starts with an impressive 6 over par, 33.  This now sees Little Golfers getting handicaps and the competitions will move from a flag format onto a stableford format, making it a lot fairer and every junior has an equal chance of winning now.  Handicaps and results from the Easter Cup can be made on our competition page.

Thursday 24th March - Spring Term School Competition

Wednesday 23rd March saw the first Little Golfers school competition to take place at Sandown Park Golf Centre, 36 children from 8 schools took part.  Children from Kew College, Banstead Infant School, St Ann's Heath, Our Lady of the Rosary, Buckland, South Farnham and Manor Junior put the skills their learnt at their school clubs into practice around the pitch and putt course.  With 50 shots to get as far round the golf course as possible, an impressive Jack from Banstead Infant school, finished the whole course in 44 shots to take the trophies back to his school.  It was a great event and another one will take place during the summer term.  Thanks to all the children who took part and their parents for supporting and helping.

Monday 21st March

Last Saturday saw 16 juniors battle out on a chilly afternoon and played really well.  Loads of PB's and both the over 7s and under 7s were won with a great score of 35.  As we head towards Easter, I want to wish everyone a great break and mention we have Easter golf camps running, during the school holidays.  Remember we offer a first junior lesson FREE and have junior golf lesson running 7 days a week.

Thursday 15th October - Crazy Golf Madness

So last Saturday saw the first Sandown Park Family Golf Day, heading into the unknown with just a few ideas of what to offer.  Started off doing crazy golf and the results were amazing.  Busiest part of the centre by far and now the big question is........  Does the crazy golf course need to come out on a regular basis?  Opinions welcome........

And yes if you haven't been to Sandown Park yet come down and let your children have a FREE golf lesson :-) .

Today sees the start of the Autumn Term school competition.  A 3 hole course to help each child understand the game better, put their learnt skills into practice and compete in a FUN competition.  This term the course will be inside, and the main focus will be water hazards.  Yes the holes will be shorter than last term but the amount of water placed around the course will challenge every golfer.  Can they complete the course without going in any water............  The leader board will keep being updated, so keep checking for your schools results and good luck to everyone.

Monday 6th October - Half Term dates confirmed

As much as the term has really only just started, half term isn't far away.  Little Golfers is running 3, 3-hour golf camps during the week off to entertain your children and develop their golfing skills.  Check out our new School Holidays Camp page for more info.

Monday 29th September - Ryder Cup and coaching

Wow what a great weekend of golf.  Love the Ryder Cup and I hope you had it on in your house and that your children watched a bit of it as least.  The Ryder Cup has to be the best golf event to watch to inspire children to play.  We are well into the new term and I hope your children are enjoying their golf sessions.  Just a note to say Andy Little is committing himself to deliver as much of the coaching as possible.  Andy was in fact trying to pull away from the coaching to manage the expanding business however due to a few changes Andy can focus again on coaching and deliver great sessions like he is known for.  I hope your children get to experience at least one session with Andy soon.

Monday 14th July - Congratulations  to St Bedes Junior School

The Summer term competition has finished, every school we work with who had the space to complete the golf course has taken part, and the winners this term are St Bedes Junior School in Send, with a great score of 10 under par.  Considering the competition takes the best 4 scores from the group and the group at St Bedes has only 5 children it is a great team effort, so well done.  South Farnham Junior School also had 10 under par but because the group has 12 children they have lost on countback this term, but watch this space for the Autumn term.

Monday 9th June - Our National School Golf Competition has started

The Open is heading to your childs school.  This terms golf competition will see each school playing 3 designed holes taken from Royal Liverpool GC, the course where The Open is being played this year.

Wednesday 26th February - A National Golf School Programme

We are pleased to announce Little Golfers has come to an agreement with Pro Analysis Sports to work in partnership to expand the Little Golfers brand over the country.  This agreement will help develop a better programme in schools, better coaches and the opportunity for kids to compete against over schools over the country.  Focus starts on developing a training programme to make sure only the better coaches work with Little Golfers and deliver our programme the way we want to ensure the group of children have the best golf experience possible.

Watch this space.......

The new year has been busy so far.  We have 235 children per week enjoying our Little Golfers sessions in schools.  Plans for the Manchester Golf Show are going well and when the time comes our coaching will be FUN and awesome :-) we will be the noise corner of the show for sure.

Moving Little Golfers forward and taking what is working in Surrey across the country is starting to pick up speed.  We have been seeing other coaches in different areas across the country and getting more interest from coaches each day.  So soon I hope more and more children will be able to play golf with us so..... WATCH THIS SPACE.
