Monday 11th April - Summer Term starts
Hope everyone had a good Easter break and now we go back to our normal routines. Golf lessons start this week and with some better weather we hope to get our juniors out on the course a lot more. Our junior competitions continue and now every junior has a handicap to compete over a 9 hole stableford or medal competition. If you want to get your child involved then please get in touch as we offer a first lesson FREE. Most school clubs start next week and our Tee Off Thursdays really start as we have 7 schools in the diary for this term. Loads of children will get a chance to play some golf with Little Golfers over the next few months. What a perfect start to the term with Danny Willett winning the Masters, congratulations to him and lets hope having an English winner boosts the interest in golf for young people.
Wednesday 30th March - Easter Cup
Yesterday saw our 3rd competition and first Little Golfers major of the year. 9 junior golfers battled the wet and windy conditions and play very well, considering the ball was going nowhere across the wet ground and blown all over the place by the wind. Arthur made it 2 wins from 2 starts with an impressive 6 over par, 33. This now sees Little Golfers getting handicaps and the competitions will move from a flag format onto a stableford format, making it a lot fairer and every junior has an equal chance of winning now. Handicaps and results from the Easter Cup can be made on our competition page.
